By the way, have I told you that my office had just moved? We moved to a nearby building, a brand new one. Actually the construction is not 100% completed but we must move (maybe it had something to do with hari baik… ?). In the first few days, I could see some people, including the receptionists wearing masks (which reminds me about the time when the city was attacked by SARS) to protect them from the dust that entered the building every time the door opened.
Anyway… everybody complained that it's very cold inside the new office . (“Seperti di kutub”, “perlu beli sarung tangan” and things like that). Last Monday (March 31), it was sooooo cold that I had a terrible headache. On the way home, when I was driving, it got worse and the pain was almost unbearable. Then .. ahhh… I remember reiki. I started to concentrate and pray. When the traffic light turned red, I raised my both hands and opened the cakra above my head, like what my reiki teacher told me. And then as I felt the energy on my hands, I put them on my head. I used one hand to drive and the other hand to exercise reiki, alternatively. (Driving with one hand is dangerous… luckily, the traffic was not that bad that night).
It worked! Hurrray. It really worked. I arrived home safe and sound. But later the headache returned. I again practiced reiki, but this time the headache did not want to go. As I still had lots of work to do, I did not want to be bothered by the headache, and concentrated on my job. And miraculously I did not feel any pain in the head… I was not even sleepy… I worked very late and went to bed at 2 a.m.
On Tuesday night, when I drove home I felt something wrong with my left knee. Actually I have problems with my both knees. I think I have mild arthritis because whenever I go downstairs or upstairs, I often feel a bit painful. This time, however, I felt the pain whenever I stepped the pedal. So, I exercised reiki, sending the energy to the knee. Thank God, it worked again…
You might wonder whether it is true that reiki heals.
This afternoon when I had lunch with my friend, Retno, I told her about my experience.
“Percaya. Memang reiki hebat. Aku dulu pernah ‘sakti’,” katanya.
Lalu ia bercerita. Several years ago, when her father was in hospital for a serious disease, Retno learned about reiki.
“Setiap kali bokap aku reiki, dia bisa tidur enak sekali,” katanya.
It was too bad her father could not make it.
Reiki could not save his life, but it was proven to bring him peace.
At the end it’s God who decides the time we breathe our last breath.
